Defensive Line Coach Todd Allen Returns for 2007

Rockford, IL - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football league (UIF) would like to announce the re-signing of Defensive Line Coach Todd Allen. As Head Coach Rik Richards looks to add more talent to his already potent team from 2006, he'll be the first to tell you, that the biggest part of the puzzle isn't just the players, it's the staff as well.

"Getting into the off-season, and not being able to sign or re-sign players until after the October 2nd signing period, I have put more emphasis into making sure all the components of our staff stick together for '07. By getting Coach Jones and now Coach Allen back to man the trenches and make these young men better, I like the way things are coming together," said Richards.

Todd Allen had this to say, "From the Coaches, to the Players, and our fans every aspect of the Raptors first season was enjoyable. I am very pleased to be returning! What a significant and outstanding accomplishment for the Raptors to be Division Champions in our first season in Rockford. Hopefully with the experience we've gained, and the fans in the community behind us, we can not only bring a division championship home again, but the league title to Rockford as well. I am looking forward to being a part of the coaching staff and can't wait for 2007 to kick-off!!!

"Being 3-3 out of the gate in 2006 we not only had young players, but a young staff experience wise. Finishing 9-2, and making it to the semifinals shows the growth not only the team made, but our staff made huge strides as well, and Todd was a huge part of our success. I can't say enough about not only him, but all of our coaches who spent so much time to making 2006 a success," said Richards.

As a staff we know we will have some gaps to fill and some may not be back for 2007, but so far, the young men we have contacted are extremely excited to come to Rockford and try and make this Raptor team even better. And in the next few weeks we will round out the staff, and begin to sign players.
