Harrisburg Stampede News Release
HARRISBURG, PA (July 23, 2012) - Harrisburg Stampede's Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that the Stampede has re-signed DL Daniel Orlebar for the 2013 Season.
Daniel "O" came to the Stampede last season at the mid-season mark and made an instant impact with the Stampede and it's league leading defense. From his nose position he compiled 20 tackles including a sack, 5 tackles for loss, 7 QB hits and 3 Safeties. The Sterling, Virginia native played his high school in Loudon County Virginia at DeMatha Catholic. He was a 3 year Letterman and was named to the Washington Post All-Prep Team. He then went on to play college football at Wake Forest and Appalachian State. As a member of the Mountaineers, Daniel was named as an Academic All American.
We are extremely happy to have Daniel re-signed. "O" is an outstanding team player and works very hard at practice. At 6'3 and 290lbs and a strong sense of the indoor game he anchors the Defensive Line and makes it difficult to double team our speed ends. We look forward to Daniel having a great 2013 season.
Just a Reminder: Stampede Season Tickets are on Sale Now and always check out our web site for several Off-Season Team Meet and Greets.
