Dayton Nabs Back to Back Wins over Danville
Danville, IL - The Dayton Demolition seem to have the Danville Dashers number in the second half of the season, defeating the Dashers in their last four meetings. Saturday night was more of the same as the Demolition defeated the Dashers 5-2 in front of a near capacity crowd.
Danville got on the board first with a unassisted goal by A.J. Tesoriero at 14:41 in the first period. Dayton answered minutes later with a power-play goal by Scott Kozlak and an unassisted goal by Myles McCauley.
The second period would see the two team split scoring as Danville tied it up at two with a goal by Ryan Stouffer at 3:50. From there on out it was all Dayton as the recored three unanswered goals by Michael Dolman, Scott Kozlak (2) and a power-play goal by Jacques Lamoureux to make it 5-2.
Dayton's Louie George earned the win stopping 30 of 32 shots from the Dashers. Danville's Matt Anthony recorded a loss after stopping 25 of 30 shots against.
The Demolitions power play proved to be crucial as they went 2-5 versus the Dashers unsuccessful power-play attempt.
The Dayton Demolition hit the road this week when they travel to Berlin for a two game set at Notre Dame Arena on Friday and Saturday. The Demolition then travel to Danbury and Brewster on Sunday and Monday.
