Top Draft Picks & Prospects with Dragons: Shortstop Justin Lebron, the Reds first round draft pick last month (18 th overall pick), was added to the Dayton roster on August 11. Lebron was the 18 th overall pick of the 2026 draft out of the University of Alabama. He has become the 22 nd "true" first round pick to play for the Dragons. Every Reds first round draft pick since 2011 has played for the Dragons except 2025 first rounder Steele Hall, who is at Single-A Daytona and on track to play for the Dragons sometime in 2027. Other Reds first round picks in this decade who played for the Dragons included Chase Burns, Rhett Lowder, Cam Collier, Matt McLain, and Austin Hendrick. In 2026.

Lebron led Alabama to their first College World Series berth since 1999. Lebron was selected by Baseball America as the "Best Athlete" in the 2026 college draft class. He was the only D1 player in the nation with 16 or more HR and 42 or more SB in '26. The Reds '26 second round pick, infielder Eric Becker (University of Virginia), joined the Dragons on August 6. Tyson Lewis, the Reds second round pick in 2024 (Millard West High School), joined the Dragons on June 30. Lebron, Becker, and Lewis are all ranked as Reds top-10 prospects by both MLB Pipeline and Baseball America.

Lebron hit a grand slam home run in his last game on Saturday after hitting his first career professional home run Friday. He is batting .381 in his first five pro games.

Tyson Lewis (Reds #5 prospect re: MLB Pipeline) is 8 for 20 (.400) over his last 5 G to snap a 12 G skid when he went 9 for 51 (.176) with 1 HR.

Diego Omana joined the Dragons on 5/26 from Chattanooga. Since his arrival, he has played in 13 G with 5 starts, batting .407 (11 for 27).
