Dayton Announces New Ownership Group
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Demolition, members of the Federal Hockey League (FHL) announce today that the team will continue as members of the FHL under a new ownership group.
A Chicago are group led by Joe Pace Sr. will assume the operations of the team effective immediately. Pace, the new Director of Operations will also assume the Head Coaching duties until Head Coach Jack Collins recovers from his injuries sustained during a team practice this season.
Pace Sr. is no stranger to the FHL, named head coach of the Danville Dashers in 2011, Pace spent two seasons behind the bench for the Dashers. Pace has a resume that includes 42 years of hockey experience. As a player, Pace competed at the AAA, junior A, and minor professional levels. After two years of minor professional play, he was forced into retirement due to a knee injury.
Already under Joe's guidance, the club has recorded a 2-2 record while defeating the league leading Danville Dashers twice.
The Dayton Demolition continue at home this week with three games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Hara Arena. Tickets for this weeks games can be purchased at demolitionhockey.com or at the Hara Arena Box Office.
