
Dawson, Eliuk earn second weekly honors

A pair of Week #2 award winners teamed up again in Week #6 to claim three of the four Weekly Awards. Arizona Sting forward Dan Dawson was named the Overall and Offensive Player of the Week for Week #6 and Philadelphia Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk was named the Defensive Player of the Week. Both players earned the same respective awards in Week #2 and are the first two-time winners of the awards this season. San Jose Stealth rookie forward Kevin Fines earned his first ever award as he was named Rookie of the Week.
Arizona Sting forward Dan Dawson was named Overall and Offensive Player of the Week for Week #6. Dawson led the Sting to a 17-10 home victory over the Anaheim Storm last weekend. The Sting forward scored four goals and added three assists for seven points and collected seven loose balls in the win on Friday.
Philadelphia Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Eliuk, also the Week #2 recipient of the award becomes the first two-time winner of the Defensive Award this season. The veteran totaled 42 saves, allowed 13 goals, tallied an assist, and collected three loose balls in a 14-13 win over San Jose.
San Jose Stealth rookie forward Kevin Fines was named the Rookie of the Week for Week #6. Fines scored three goals and collected six loose balls in a 14-13 road loss to the Philadelphia Wings.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dallas Eliuk (Philadelphia) â (42 saves, 13 GA, 1A, 3 LB) made 42 saves on 55 shots faced, tallied an assist, and collected three loose balls in a 14-13 win over San Jose.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kevin Fines (San Jose Stealth) â (3G, 6 LB) scored three goals and collected six loose balls in a 14-13 loss to Philadelphia.
OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dan Dawson (Arizona Sting) â (4G, 3A, 7pts, 7 LB) scored four goals and added three assists for seven points and collected seven loose balls in a 17-10 win over Anaheim.
The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's ten member clubs.
