Dayton, OH - On a Friday Night heading into the Holidays, the Dayton Demolition and the Danville Dashers were not in a giving mood ... a giving up goals mood, that is. Both teams battled into Overtime, but the Danville Dashers came away with a 2-1 decision over the host Demolition.

The scoring got underway on Dayton's second Power Play on the night. With one second left, Tom Tracy sends the puck away over Matt Anthony for his fifth goal of the season. Martin Uhnak chips in for his third assist of the year and Dayton found themselves up 1-0 until the middle of the 2nd Period.

Danville ties the contest with a rebound bury from Gehrett Sargis, after Andrew Harrison was denied by Louie George. Sargis picked up his fifth goal and Harrison with his fifth assist, and things would stay squared away at 1-1 until we reached Overtime.

After Dayton was close into burying a contested shot, Danville counted back on a rebound left in the crease, only to have Justin Brausen finish this quick-moving game. Brausen registered his eleventh goal, with Aleh Shypitsyn and A.J. Tesoriero helping the cause. Danville took two points and their eighth win in their first of many trips to Hara Arena.

Dayton out-shot the Dashers 34-32 on the game, despite Danville out-shooting the Demolition 14-8 in the last frames. Louie George took the OT loss recording 30 saves on 32 shots.

Matt Anthony improved to 6-0 on the season on the 33 save performance, and won the Third Star of the Game. The 2nd Star of the game was Tom Tracy, with the lone Demolition tally. Justin Brausen picked up the 1st Star of the Game for his Game-Winner in OT.

Dayton falls to 2-3-3 on the season, with a road trip to Brewster waiting on Sunday. Danville improves to 8-1 and prepares for a home date with the Danbury Titans.
