Niagara Daredevils News Release
St. Catharines, ON. The ABA Niagara DareDevils announced a strategic partnership between themselves and Wild 101. The partnership allows for a wide variety of cross promotions between the station and Niagara's professional basketball team. Beginning this week, the DareDevils and Wild 101 will begin an aggressive marketing campaign promoting the launch of the DareDevils 2005-2006 season.
Highlighting the campaign will be weekly ticket giveaways to fill the "Wild Box," an exclusive section of the arena for WILD listeners. Also included in the partnership is the inclusion of the "Wild Team" at each of the DareDevils 18 home games. In attendance will be Chris Barnatt, host of Wild 101's afternoon broadcast, and Corey "The Dreaded One" Mottley, host of WILD's evening shift, also on hand will be the "Wild 101 Street Team."
Christ Barnatt will act as the DareDevil's host keeping the crowd entertained, running in-game promotions and contests and providing his insight throughout the game. Corey Mottley will take his talents to the turntables providing the crowd with the latest music throughout the evening. The "Wild 101 Street Team" will be on hand to interact with the crowd, run various contests and promotions, and giveaway great DareDevils and Wild 101 prizes throughout the evening. In addition, Wild 101 and the DareDevils will partner up at various events in the Niagara Region increasing their profile.
"I believe this will be an incredible partnership for Wild 101, the Niagara DareDevils and the Niagara community," explains Director of Business Operations, Matt Scobel. "Not only does this allow the DareDevils to further expose their exciting brand of basketball and entertainment to the region, but it allows both sides to combine resources to make an even bigger impact in the community."
"I think the DareDevils are exactly what the region has been looking for," enthuses Chris Barnatt. "Niagara has both the fan base and the excitement to support a team as big as the DareDevils, and I can't wait to be a part of the energy of the crowd and the team that it will bring to the floor each time out."
"I am so happy to see the DareDevils come to Niagara," said Corey Mottley. "I am even more excited to be a part of it. I can't wait to see the season get started. When I was approached to do this I didn't think twice. I jumped to the occasion. WILD 101 and the DareDevils will work hand in hand to bring the best entertainment possible to Niagara."
