Dans to Treat 30 Fans to Free Tickets

(DANVILLE, IL) - As the Danville Dans get ready to start their 2011 season, they know that much of their success comes from the great Dans fans that support the team from year to year. And to start off the season, the Dans want to show their appreciation for our fans.

            Starting May 20, and for the next 30 days, the Dans will randomly select one of the people who "like" their Facebook page to receive a pair of tickets good to any one of the 28 home game in 2011. Fans will be notified through a private message on Facebook, and will have the tickets waiting for them at the ticket desk inside Danville Stadium. The drawings will continue through Saturday, June 18.

            The Dans begin play on June 2, with the first home game at Danville Stadium on Friday, June 3. There will be fireworks following the game, courtesy of Danville Township and the Vermilion County Federation of Labor.

            The Danville Dans are part of the Prospect League, one of the premier college summer leagues in the nation. Baseball players from as far away as California, Texas, Florida and Maryland come to Danville to improve their pitching, fielding skills, and hitting with wood bats. The Dans alumni include 19 current or former major league players.
