Danville Dans News Release

DANVILLE, IL - The Danville Dans will be connecting with some local pro sports favorites at a couple of upcoming games.

On Wednesday, July 24, the David S. Palmer Arena is sponsoring the Chicago Blackhawks Band. The band will play between innings. The game against division rival Quincy Gems will begin at 6:30 pm.

Then on Thursday, July 25, members of the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleading squad, hosted by Neuhoff Media, will be on hand to greet fans and give autographs. The autograph session will run from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. A double-header against the Springfield Sliders will start at 6:00 pm.

The Chicago Blackhawks Band can be seen rocking out at the United Center during Blackhawks home game, or on off nights you will find them turning local Chicagoans into rock stars while hosting live band karaoke. According to Pete Blackmon, Palmer Arena general manager, "the band came down for the NJCAA tournament, and had a blast. So we're glad to bring them back to Danville to perform at a Dans game."

The Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders have made an annual visit to a Dans game for the past several years, according to Neuhoff Media Vice President Mike Hulvey. "It's always a treat to have the Colts cheerleaders come to Danville." The cheerleaders are scheduled to starting greeting fans at 5:00 pm, and will be available for about two hours.
