Dane Dowiak, Max Burkholder and Jacob Fowler earn weekly honors

Chicago, Ill. - Dane Dowiak (Tri-City), Max Burkholder (Dubuque) and Jacob Fowler (Youngstown) earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 22, the league announced Monday.

Forward of the Week

Dane Dowiak | Tri-City | Wexford, Pa.

NCAA Commitment: Penn State

Birth Year: 2002

2 GP, 1 goal, 5 assists, 6 points, +4, 7 shots on goal in two wins last week

Had a hand in all four goals with a goal and three assists in 4-2 win over Sioux City Saturday

Has 7-14- 21 in 39 games played for the Storm on the season

Defenseman of the Week

Max Burkholder | Dubuque | Chaska, Minn.

NCAA Commitment: Colorado College

Birth Year: 2003

2 GP, 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points, +2, 8 shots on goal in two wins last week

Registered a goal and assist in each game vs. Madison and his goal Saturday to start the third period sparked the Fighting Saints in their eventual 4-3 overtime win

Tied for the league lead in goals by defensemen with 14. Has 14-23- 37 in 43 GP on the season

Now a 2x USHL Defenseman of the Week in 2022-23

Goaltender of the Week

Jacob Fowler | Youngstown | Melbourne, Fla.

Birth Year: 2004

3 GP, 2-1-0, 4 GA, 76 saves, 1.31 GAA, .950 sv%

Had 35 saves (including six in OT) on 36 shots in 2-1 shootout win over Cedar Rapids last Friday

Stands 18-8-3-1 on the season, with a 2.36 goals against average, .921 save percentage and league-best
