Ricther, Liscomb, & Caranci
Set their Sights on Ayers Marks
Two Danbury Whalers records held by Cody Ayers are close to being broken with 10 games remaining in the season. Brett Liscomb is closing in on Ayers' single season points record, meanwhile Tim Richter and Matt Caranci are getting closer to topping the record for most career points, also held by Cody Ayers.
The record for most points in a season was set just last season, as Cody Ayers finished the year with 81 points in 56 games. Brett Liscomb, in his 1st season with the Whalers, currently trails that record by 8 points, with 73 in 44 games. In addition, Cody Ayers also holds the record for career points, with 138 points over 2 seasons. Tim Richter currently has 122 points in his 2 year career with the Whalers, needing another 16 points to tie the record. Matt Caranci is slightly closer with 129 points over his 5 season Whalers career, however with a lower points per game average, Richter is likely to pass Caranci by season's end.
Danbury Whalers 2nd Annual
Banner Day Contest
The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Banner Day promotion will be held on Saturday, February 21st at the Danbury Ice Arena when the Whalers take on the Watertown Wolves. Gametime is 7:35 pm.
At Danbury Whalers Banner Day, fans of all ages will be asked to design and construct a banner of any size with a message, slogan, or tribute to the team. The winning banners will take home a grand prize package.

Banners will be brought out onto the ice during the 2nd intermissions for a parade and display for the fans. A fans vote will decide the winner.
