The Danbury Whalers are on fire. The team is currently in 2nd place only a few percentage points behind Watertown. This weekend the Whalers are back in action at the Danbury Ice Arena with a home game on Saturday, December 6th at 7:35 PM vs. the Berkshire Battalion.

This Saturday, it's Mike Nichols Night.

Nichols, from Monroe, New Jersey, was selected by the Whalers in the 5th round of the 2014-15 Federal Hockey League College / Junior Hockey Draft.

Last season, on January 4th, while playing for Monroe High School, Mike suffered a spinal cord injury in the game against Vernon High School at Skylands Ice World. Mike's injury was to the 5th vertebrae. Prior to his injury in that game, Mike had registered a goal & 2 assists.

On Mike Nichols Night, the Danbury Whalers players will meet Mike in the lockerroom in a pre-game ceremony. Prior to the start of the game, the team will present Mike with his #23 NICHOLS home & away game jerseys.

Mike will also being making his professional debut as he will take the ice with the Whalers.

Mike's main focus is working on various campaigns focused on creating awareness for spinal cord injuries.

As part of the night a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Nichols Trust Fund. Fans can also pick up a Nichols #23 Whalers official t-shirt.

The Cookhouse Pre-Game Show

A reminder, book your space for the Danbury Whalers - Cookhouse Pre-Game Show, which takes place in the Penalty Box Lounge at the Danbury Ice Arena prior to the Whalers next home game. The Pre-Game Show will run from 6:50 to 7:15 followed by the drop of the puck against Steel City at 7:35

The Coach's Show will be hosted by Tommy Pecoraro and will involve question and answer with Head Coach Phil Esposito and a preview of the night's game. Spac e is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot early! While reserving your spot, ask about pre-ordering food from The Cookhouse to enjoy during the show!

Whalers Fan Invasion of Berkshire - Dec 13th

Whalers fans - Get ready to invade the Berkshires.

On Saturday, December 13th, the Danbury Whalers travel to North Adams, Massachusetts to take on the Berkshire Battalion at the Peter W. Foote Veterans Memorial Skating Rink. Gametime is 7:35 PM.

The Whalers are organizing a fan trip to this game. As part of the package fans can also include an option to enjoy a pre-game meal the Freight Yard Pub, the Official Restaurant of the Berkshire Battalion.

Tickets can be purchased through the Danbury Whalers with the following two packages being offered:

Ticket with Cheeseburger & Fries @ The Freight Yard Pub - $21

Ticket to the game - $10

Transportation to the game is not provided. North Adams is a little over 100 miles from Fairfield County and is just north of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Book Your Company Night with the Danbury Whalers Tickets & The Cookhouse

The Danbury Whalers have announced that they are now offering Employee / Customer Appreciation Night packages for the three upcoming games in December.

When the Whalers are home on December 6 (Saturday), 12 (Friday), & 19 (Friday) area businesses can put together a great package for their employees & customers as a way to say thank you for all their efforts throughout the year.
