Whalers Tricia Coe Promoted Vice President of Sales & Operations
The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce that Tricia Coe has been promoted from Director of Fundraising to Vice President of Sales & Operations.
This will be Tricia's 5th season working with the organization. Tricia's main focus has been on working with non-profit and charitable organizations throughout the community.
Through the Danbury Whalers "Never Give Up" program under the direction of Tricia, the Whalers organization has donated over $120,000 to area groups. Over 75 groups have participated with the team including King Street Schools in Danbury, Dream Come True, Matthew's Heart of Hope, numerous Sandy Hook funds, Faith Prep in New Milford, and others.
Tricia, originally from Farmington, Connecticut, attended the University of Connecticut where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Tricia also graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management, sponsored by the CT Bankers Association.
When asked about the promotion:
Tricia stated, "This team has been such a big part of my life over the past few years. I'm so proud to be part of an organization that truly does so many positive things in the community. The greatest days for me are when we put together an event at a game for a group or organization. It is such an uplifting rewarding experience for all those involved. I am so appreciative for this opportunity."
On her career in hockey:
"I certainly didn't see this career path developing for me the way it has, but it has grown each year. Being a passionate fan is a part of my love for what I do. I look forward to the next challenges and being a part of many championships in this city."
Tricia was introduced to hockey at a young age as her family had season ticket holders for the New England and Hartford Whalers.
Danbury Whalers Sr. Partner, President, & CFO, Alan Friedman commented, "Tricia has worked very hard for our team and organization. She is a huge part of our success and our plans going forward."
Herm Sorcher, Whalers CEO & Managing Partner, "When you come to a Whalers game and the place is packed, that is a direct result of Tricia's effort. She has brought so much energy and enthusiasm to our organization. We always say, she is our MVP."
Tricia resides in Danbury with her husband Gary and sons, Cameron & Colin. Gary is with the Danbury Police Department while Cameron is an accomplished Karate student, attends Danbury High School and is part of the Whalers Gameday Staff. Colin is following in his mom's footsteps only on the ice as a goalie. Colin attends Rogers Park Middle School.
