Opening Night This Thursday October 27th at 7:35 PM - vs. New Jersey
Danbury Whalers Hockey is back in town. Thursday, October 27th at 7:35 the Danbury Whalers take on the New Jersey Outlaws in the season opening game.
Please note the Danbury Whalers new start time at 7:35.
There Danbury Whalers will be auctioning off their official game worn jersey's that night. Fans can place a bid a take home a part of the game that night complete with a player autograph.
The Yes! Grace Rocks Foundation will be at the game participating with the Danbury Whalers Fundraising program. Check out the experiential auction items with proceeds to benefit Yes! Grace Rocks.
Before the game, be sure to eat at Two Steps Downtown Grille. Located on 5 Ives Street, Two Steps is the official restaurant of the Danbury Whalers.
Following the game, there will be an official post game party at TK's American Café on 255 White Street in Danbury. Stop by and meet your favorite Danbury Whalers players and management.
Fans this season, remember to Stay Out of the Penalty Box and park in the Patriot Garage. Located directly across the street from the Danbury Ice Arena, the Danbury Parking Authority provides a safe, convenient, and centrally located parking destination for all of the Downtown Danbury events. Only $3 to park - make sure the only ticket you get is to the game.

2nd Annual Danbury Whalers Halloween Costume Contest on Saturday
This Saturday, October 29th at 7:35 PM when the Danbury Whalers take on the Cape Cod Bluefins, it's the 2nd Annual Danbury Whalers Halloween Costume Contest.
Fans are encouraged to wear Halloween Costumes to the game and they will be eligible to participate in the team's costume contest.costume s]
The Lady Whalers Under -19 Hockey team will be will be at the game participating with the Danbury Whalers Fundraising program. Be sure to purchase a Chuck a Puck as a portion of the proceeds goes to the Lady Whalers.

Tip-A-Whaler Night at Two Steps Downtown Grille in Danbury
Following the Danbury Whalers action packed opening week, there is a new item added to the promotional calendar. It's the Tip A Whaler Night at Two Steps Downtown Grille on 5 Ives Street in Danbury.
On Thursday, November 3rd, the Danbury Whalers players will be serving as your bartenders and waiters, serving drinks, waiting tables, and mixing your favorite cocktails from 6-10 pm. It's sure to be a great night. Stop by Two Steps as a portion of the proceeds of the night plus the tips go towards supporting Connecticut Youth Hockey.

Danbury Whalers Launch Killer Ale Soda
The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the launching of Danbury Whalers Killer Ale Root Beer & Black Cherry soda.
The soda is a new area of merchandising for the team. The product will be available for re-sale at the games, but not for consumption as the purchased cases can be picked up after the game.
Killer Ale is great for the Danbury Whalers fan in your life. It goes great with ice cream in a float, washes down a cheeseburger, and mixes perfectly with the adult beverage of your choice.
The name Killer Ale was created by Danbury Whalers CEO, Herm Sorcher's 16 year old daughter, Sage Salvador. "We made the commitment on the product, but it needed the right name. Sage was the first person I called and I said what are you feeling on this -
When asked about it, Sage said, "I thought 'Killer Ale' right away. It sounds like killer whale and sage promo it's got some snap to it. Once you taste it you are hooked like a big fish or mammal in this case."
The Killer Ale logo was designed by Danbury Whalers logo creator Dom Alessandro of AW Design in Manhattan. Check them out at www.aw-design.com.
Killer Ale is available in Root Beer & Black Cherry. It retails for $39 for a case of 24 or $11 per six pack.

The club currently offers three different type of season ticket plans. The full season at $370, half season at $195, and the 5-pack for $65.
Individual tickets are $15 for adults and kids under 10 years old are $10.

Danbury Whalers Bus Trip
1st & 10 Sports Bar and Grill
Sets Up Happy Hour and a Half
The Danbury Whalers have announced there will be fan bus trip for the first road game of the season on Friday, October 28th. In that game, the Whalers take on the New Jersey Outlaws at the Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey. Gametime is set for 7:35.
The bus will be leaving Friday afternoon from 1st & 10 Sports Bar & Grill in New Milford. As part of the package fans will receive transportation to the game, a game ticket, and a special Happy Hour & a Half at 1st & 10 Sports Bar & Grill. Total cost is $55.bus2 w]
Departure time has not yet been finalized but is anticipated between 3-3:30 pm.
