Danbury Whalers Unveil Two New Special Edition Jerseys

The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce two special edition jerseys the club will debut this season. The new sweaters will be worn later this year with December 22nd as the target date for the first night. A finalized date for both jerseys will be announced in the coming weeks.
Both uniform tops are a primary base color of black. The first one combines green with a white outline on the black. This sweater is featuring an all green D in the club's jersey scheme for the first time. The second new sweater has a throw-back Danbury heritage look in tribute to the Danbury Trashers, the city's first professional hockey team. While not the identical color scheme to the Trashers, the blue is meant to honor the team that put the city of Danbury onto the minor league professional sports map.
The Danbury Whalers organization members offered the following comments.
Whalers Senior Partner, President, CFO, Alan Friedman "We are continually looking to develop new merchandise and products for our fans. The Danbury Whalers name and logo is growing and we want to keep up with the fans demand and interest for fresh new products and team wear."
Assistant General Manager, Keith "Lucky Dog" Lombard, "There is nothing like seeing the traditional Danbury Whalers sweaters on the ice, but when you are working with such a great logo and the world's most passionate fans you want to put some thoughts out there and see what you can come up with. We hope the fans like them and look forward to their feedback."
Director of Fundraising Tricia Coe "I love my Whalers jersey, but that green D would have been great to see Ron Francis in."
