This weekend it is a Battle of First Place between the Danbury Whalers and the Dayton Demonz. The two clubs will face off on back to back nights this weekend on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th. Faceoff for both games is 7:35 PM.
The teams are neck and neck on top of the Federal Hockey League standings and we could be headed for a rematch of last season's Finals.
Friday night is the Buffalo Wild Wings Teacher Appreciation Night. On this night, Buffalo Wild Wings extends an offer to all area teachers. Receive a complimentary ticket to that night's Whalers game and enjoy a complimentary pre-game meal of wings and a beverage of your choice at Buffalo Wild Wings on 26 Backus Avenue in Danbury.

Saturday is a fundraising event for Danbury High School and the Western Connecticut State University Hockey Team.
The Danbury High School PTO is hosting its 1st Whaler Hockey night on Saturday, December 14, 2013. The PTO will be selling chuck a pucks, 50/50 tickets and will be hosting a raffle table with various items from local businesses in the lobby as well. Please join us to help support Danbury High School. All funds earned that evening will be earmarked for technology purposes. Come support the WCSU men's ice hockey team while watching our local FHL team The Danbury Whalers!
Tickets for this game are being sold by WCSU hockey members at a discounted price. If you would like to attend this game please contact someone apart of the WCSU hockey team. A portion of the proceeds will go towards our team to fund, game nights, equipment, buses, team gear, and other ice hockey necessities.
This is a perfect night to have some fun after finals and before everyone goes home for break. Please share this event with anyone who might be interested.
The game will start at 7:35pm at the Danbury ice arena. Please come out to celebrate our local hockey community!
