Danbury Whalers Announce Official 2014-15 Home Schedule

The Danbury Whalers, proud members of the 5th year Federal Hockey League have announced their 2014-15 season game schedule. The club will play 56 games with 30 at home and 26 on the road.
The puck drops for the season on Friday, October 17th when the Whalers travel to Watertown. This is the earliest the Federal Hockey League season has ever started. This is also the first time the Whalers have opened the season on the road.
The Danbury Whalers first home game comes the following night on Saturday, October 18th at 7:35 pm when the Whalers complete a home and home series with Watertown.
The FHL schedule breaks down with 16 games against each team's two closest geographical rivals. The further three teams are set up to play 8 total games with 4 at home and 4 on the road.
The past two seasons, the Danbury Whalers and Dayton Demonz have squared off in the Commissioners Cup Finals. Dayton's first trip to Danbury will take place on Friday, January 9th.
The home schedule breaks down as follows. There will be 12-Saturday night games, 10-Fridays, 6-Sundays, and 2-Thursdays. The monthly breakdown is 1-October, 6-November, 5-December, 9-January, 7-February, and 2-March.
The breakdown of home games versus opponents is Berkshire - 10, Watertown 8 times, Southwestern PA - 4, Danville - 4, and Dayton - 4.
Home game times for the Danbury Whalers are 7:35 PM with Sunday at 5:05 PM.
Individual game tickets will be going on sale in the middle of September. Season ticket packages are currently available. The Whalers have a ticket plan for every fan.
