Danbury Titans News Release
THE TITANS WEEKEND STARS
The Titans split two games this weekend, ending on a high note with a shootout victory over the Brewster Bulldogs in the Outdoor Border War game. Here are your three stars:
Mike Pearless - Sunday's starter stopped 33 of 35 in Sunday's game including some big saves in the third period and overtime. Pearless came up big in the shootout stopping 5 of the 6 attempts including the last one to seal the victory.
Dean Yakura - The alternate captain had a big moment on Sunday as he scored the decisive shootout goal to help give Danbury the win.
Bryan Dallaire - Bryan finished the weekend with a goal and an assist. His power play goal in the third period Sunday helped force overtime against Brewster.

MEET NICK NIEDERT: 39
Nick, a Veteran, won the title of Team Clown for the 2015-16 season and has not disappointed us! He comes from Hudson, Iowa and previously played for the Watertown Wolves and Elmira Jackals. He loves being someone the Rookies can look up to.
He is the only hockey player in his family, but comes from a very athletic bunch. His biggest fear would be losing the love for the game. When he was three years old, he would not go on the ice unless his parents walked around with him. His most bizarre hockey story that he can tell us is of playing through an ice storm. He remembers having icicles hanging off of his gear! His favorite thing about the holiday season is getting a few days to spend with his family and prepare for the second half of the season!
Superpower: Nick does not like heights so he would pick predicting the future
Favorite Movie: Bull Durham. Kevin Costner tweeted at him!
Favorite Player: Carey Price

UPDATES FROM YOUR TITANS BOOSTER CLUB
The Booster Club auctioned five gift baskets during the final home game of the year, raising several hundred dollars in support of our players. Thank you to everyone who participated! We go into the longest away game streak very pleased with how our initial efforts have been. We are mindful that we will need to continue and increase support as the season goes on. Perhaps our biggest need is more volunteers! Be on the lookout mid-January for notice of an all-members meeting, at which we will talk about how we're doing so far, and what we need from our members. We are incredibly grateful for all that you have done so far - and we can't wait to ramp it up again starting January 9th!
You can join the Booster Club by filling out the form here and either mailing your payment or bringing it to the next game.
Check out more Booster Club updates here!
THANK YOU!
The Titans would like to thank Connecticut Family Orthopedics, the official medical team of the Danbury Titans. We always feel safe on and off the ice!
