December 30, 2019 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) News Release
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Damon Lynn of the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans has been named Player of the Week for the week ending December 29, 2019.
Lynn, a 6'0" guard from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, averaged 25.0 points per game in two Titans games; he also pulled down 6.5 rebounds per game, dished out 6.5 assists per game, and had a 2.0 steal per game average.
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Alex Campbell of the Island Storm has been named Canadian Player of the Week for the week ending December 29, 2019.
Campbell, a 6'2" point guard from the University of Windsor, scored the league's first triple-double of the season - 15 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists - in the Storm's 124-99 win over the Halifax Hurricanes. He also scored a team-high 25 points in the Island's home opener against the Moncton Magic.
"In my mind, Alex Campbell's the best Canadian player in our league," said Storm head coach Tim Kendrick, "and I almost worry when I say that, because Alex is one of the top players in our league, period. He does so much more than play for us, he's a great leader on and off the court, and he deserves everything he gets."
