Statement Win
Week 2: Dallas Renegades 25, Los Angeles Wildcats 18
The Wildcats and head coach Winston Moss boasted that they "won the game" when the two teams scrimmaged in Houston during training camp.
The Renegades then went into the Wildcats' home stadium and won the actual game that mattered in Week 2, led by a breakout, two-touchdown rushing performance by running back Cameron Artis-Payne.
Breakout Players
TE Donald Parham
The 6-foot-8 Stetson alum finished second in the XFL in targets (43), tied for fourth in receptions (24), third in receiving yards (307), and tied for third in receiving touchdowns (four), while recording the fourth-longest reception.
His speed helped him show off on one of the league's best plays by a receiver: his 65-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown that helped the Renegades in their Week 3 victory.

WR Flynn Nagel
Parham garnered the lion's share of the attention in the Renegades receiving corps, but Nagel was that unit's Mr. Reliable, catching 26 of 30 targets for 217 yards and a touchdown.
His performance looks even more impressive when you consider he was taken in Phase 5 of October's XFL Draft, and he wound up third in the league in receptions behind Houston's Cam Phillips (31) and Tampa Bay's Reece Horn (27).
RB Cameron Artis-Payne
Despite ample NFL experience, the Auburn grad broke through with his extensive XFL opportunity, ranking among the league leaders in rushing yards (241, fourth) and yards per carry (5.1, second).
His two-TD performance was crucial in helping Dallas to its Week 2 victory.

Defensive backs Josh Hawkins and Derron Smith
Hawkins tied for second with two interceptions, and the cornerback highlighted his season by helping to contain Houston's Cam Phillips in Week 4 (one catch, nine yards).
Smith finished as one of Pro Football Focus' highest-graded XFL defensive backs.
BEST MOMENT
Khari Lee finds the end zone on a flea-flicker (Week 1)
Week 5: Landry Jones' Double-Forward Pass
In any other football league, Jones' batted pass would fall back to earth and not be allowed to return to the sky.
Instead, Jones caught the deflection, rolled slightly to his right and fired downfield to an open Lance Dunbar.
Because of the XFL's double-pass rule, it was legal. And awesome. Even more amazing: The same thing had happened in practice earlier in the week, which is why Jones was ready when the moment arrived.
