
Dallas Impact defeat Texas RimRockers in scrimmage

November 1, 2010 - Dallas, TX The Dallas Impact defeated the Texas RimRockers, 99-94 in an exciting basketball scrimmage at the Lakewest Family YMCA in Dallas, Texas.
The Texas RimRockers started the game with an 10-0 run however couldn't maintain the lead after the first quarter. The basketball scrimmage became a see-saw affair as both teams were evenly matched through the contest. However, the Dallas Impact seized the lead with 3:36 to go and won the contest.
The Dallas Impact were led by the balance attack of Darius Howard (6'4''-G-83, agency: Prossin Sports Management, college: SW Assemblies of God) and Habeem Kareem and leading the way for the Texas RimRockers by TJ Tate, Reggie Jacquett, Blake Armelin, and Nick Tyler. The Impact's next scheduled event is the ABA Tri-State Showcase in Dallas, Texas from November 12-14, 2010.
Before the scrimmage, the Impact took time to work with Habitat for Humanity on a housing project in South Dallas. The coaches and players spent several hours helping to build a house for a deserving family. This was the first of many scheduled service events for the Dallas Impact.
