FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Friday's games
v Dontell Jefferson led all scorers with 26 points for Dakota, while Carlos Powell finished with a 23-point, 10-rebound double-double in the Wizards' win.
v Idaho's Mike Taylor netted a game-high 22 points while Lance Allred recorded a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds in the Stampede's win.
v Earl Calloway's game-high 27 points lifted Fort Wayne to a 16-point victory over the Utah Flash.
v Elton Nesbitt of Sioux Falls finished with a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double in the Skyforce's one-point win over the Jam.
v Los Angeles' Sean Banks recorded 29 points in the D-Fenders win over Anaheim, while Devin Green (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Darryl Watkins (10 points, 12 rebounds) each notched double-doubles.
D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE TIPS OFF MONDAY: The fourth annual D-League Showcase will be held in Boise, Idaho on the Stampede's home court of Qwest Arena on January 14-17. The Stampede will host all 14 D-League teams, who, along with general managers, player personnel and scouts from each of the 30 NBA teams will come together for 14 games over four days to highlight the league's talent. THUNDERBIRDS, VIPERS WELCOME NBA ASSIGNEES: The Albuquerque Thunderbirds today welcomed back Sun's rookie forward Alando Tucker who joins the team for his second stint in the D, while the Rio Grande Valley Vipers will add Shannon Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers to their roster. Brown and Tucker's assignments are the 29th and 30th, respectively, of the 2007-08 season.
