ASSIGNMENT 15: The Utah Jazz assigned second-year guard C.J. Miles to the Idaho Stampede on Thursday, the 15th NBA player assigned to a D-League affiliate this season. This is Miles' second stint in the D-League. He was assigned by the Jazz to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds last season for 11 games, averaging 12.7 points and 3.4 rebounds.

NINE IN SIOUX FALLS: Six players designated for D-League assignment have been recalled to their NBA teams, leaving nine on active D-League rosters for the Showcase. Eight of 12 teams currently have at least one assigned player.

SHOWCASE BEGINS MONDAY: The annual NBA D-League MLK Showcase, featuring 12 games in three days, runs Jan. 15-17 at the Sioux Falls Arena. Two sessions of two games each begin at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. central time each day. Games 2 and 4 of each day will tip off 25 minutes following the conclusion of the previous game.

SHOWCASE ON THE AIR: NBA TV will televise all 12 games from the Showcase, 10 live. Game coverage begins at noon ET each day.

DIFFERENT LOOK: NBA TV will introduce new technologies and production methods at the Showcase for possible use during future NBA telecasts. Those include wireless steadicams, end line jib cameras to handle the majority of the play-by-play action, six enhanced microphones to capture the sounds of the game, as well as an all-access look into team locker rooms at halftime.
