ALWAYS WATCHING: NBA teams have scouted every one of the first 43 games of the D-League season.

MUST BE THE NETS: Since being assigned by the Atlanta Hawks to the Arkansas RimRockers on December 2 Donta Smith has found the quirky blue and white nets of the D-League to his liking. Smith leads the league in field goal percentage at .592 (42-71).

PASSING WITH PURPOSE: The Fort Worth Flyers lead the league in percentage of field goals made preceded by an assist at 52-percent. Coach Sam Vincent 's club has made 378 field goals and dished out 196 assists. The Arkansas RimRockers, who lead the league in total assists (237), follow the Flyers at 49-percent.

FAMILIARITY: Tulsa and Arkansas have already played seven times, while Roanoke has already played Florida five times and Arkansas four in 12 games.

ARE THEY IN THIS LEAGUE? Florida has not suited up against Albuquerque, Arkansas, Fort Worth or Tulsa. Albuquerque has yet to face Fayetteville, Florida or Roanoke. Austin has not played Florida or Roanoke yet.

MLK SHOWCASE: The 2006 MLK Showcase, featuring every D-League team in eight games over two days, is scheduled for January 15-16 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C.
