YOU BETTER WATCH OUT: The Arkansas at Roanoke game from December 16 airs at noon ET today on NBA TV.
YOU BETTER NOT CRY: After taking today and Sunday off, the D-League schedule resumes on Monday, December 26 when Fort Worth visits Albuquerque.
YOU BETTER NOT POUT: Can't make it to Tingley Coliseum on Monday?
I'M TELLING YOU WHY: Because there are eight games scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 30 and 31, including a Friday night matchup between Arkansas and Fort Worth, who are both nipping on the heels of league-leading Florida.
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN: When Arkansas needed help down low, the Toronto Raptors assigned Pape Sow, who is averaging 19.2 points and 11.9 rebounds. Right after guard Brandon Dean injured his hand, the Atlanta Hawks assigned guard Donta Smith, who is contributing 16.0 points and 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
HE SEES YOU WHEN YOU'RE SLEEPING: The Fayetteville Patriots have lost seven straight.
HE KNOWS WHEN YOU'RE AWAKE: The Florida Flame has won seven of their last eight games and held Roanoke to its lowest point total of the season (78) on Friday. The Fort Worth Flyers have won four in a row.
HE KNOWS IF YOU'VE BEEN BAD: The Austin Toros have lost four consecutive games and four of five at home.
OR GOOD: Arkansas' Pape Sow scored 27 and grabbed 24 rebounds in 40 minutes in the RimRockers win at Austin on Friday...Theron Smith and Hiram Fuller both had double-doubles for Florida at Roanoke on Friday...Joe Shipp had 24 points and 10 boards in a losing cause for Albuquerque on Friday.
SO BE GOOD, FOR GOODNESS SAKE: The Austin Toros are joining forces with Austin Whole Foods Markets to help our most valuable and vulnerable resource -- our children. On Wednesday, December 28, the Toros and Austin Whole Foods Markets will donate five-percent of both ticket and store sales to help support programs for children at the Austin Children's Shelter.
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN: Current Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mike Wilks was the first GATORADE Call-Up of the 2002-03 season when he was signed by the Atlanta Hawks from the roster of the Huntsville Flight (now Albuquerque) on December 24, 2002. Who will be the first this season?
MLK SHOWCASE: The 2006 MLK Showcase, featuring every D-League team in eight games over two days, is scheduled for January 15-16 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C.
