Harrisburg Stampede News Release
HARRISBURG, PA (November 11, 2011) - Harrisburg Stampede's General Manager and Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today he has signed Defensive Line Stand-Out Michael Bibbs.
I don't know where to start with announcing Michael. He is the total package both on and off the field. Michael currently lives in Williamsport, Maryland. Michael is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where he attended Booker T Washington High School. His college career landed him with the D1 Iowa State Cyclones, where he became a stand-out Defensive Player. After graduation in 2009, Michael's skills were good enough to catch the eye of NFL scouts and the Green Bay Packers and again in 2010 with the Cleveland Browns. Last season Michael brought his talents to the Indoor game and played with the Trenton Steel.
The 6'3" 255lb defensive end has tremendous strength, speed, footwork, handwork and most of all he is a disciplined player. Michael will provide us with the outside push and solid pass rush that will give O-lines and QB's fits.
Michael is engaged to his Fianc Dominique and a December wedding is fast approaching. Michael has a daughter Michaela and keeps him and Dominique very busy. Michael is deeply involved with children and runs and manages his own foundation. We ask that you check out the foundation at www.michaelabibbsfoundation.org and support Michaels efforts where ever possible. Michael has promised to bring several special charity events to the Harrisburg area this season. Like I said in the beginning of this article, he is a special athlete and person on and off the field and we are thrilled to have him signed with The Stampede.
Just a Reminder: Stampede Open-Try Out Sunday November 27 at In The Net, Registration starts at 8am and Work-Out is from 9am - 11:30am
