The Bombers would hit a towering homerun to right field to off of the bat of Henry Lartique to make the score 2-1 in the fifth inning.

The game would remain tied 2-2 until the 13th inning. The pitcher for the Bombers CJ Gregory would throw a wild pitch with 1 out and the bases loaded for the Cane Cutters. In to score would be Leiff Clarkson (Western Kentucky), who pinch hit earlier in the game.
