
Currie back between the pipes for the Bombers

Dayton, OH- Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced Monday that the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL have signed Goaltender David Currie.
"David stabilized our goaltending when he arrived late last season and we look forward to him doing the same this season," said MacAdam. "He is a proven goaltender at the ECHL level and his call up to Toronto at the end of the year was just the beginning of the potential that he possesses."
Currie joined the Bombers last season after being acquired in a trade with the Victoria Salmon Kings for forward Jay Latulippe. He appeared in 14 games (3-9-2), with a GAA of 3.84 and a SV% of .881 (including a 1-0 shutout @ Toledo on Feb. 19th).
Currie, a 5'10", 175-pound native of Peterborough, Ontario, appeared in a total of 29 games last season between Johnstown, Victoria and Dayton. His combined record was
6-18-5 and he finished with a 3.73 GAA and a .879 SV%.
Prior to last season, Currie spent each of the past two seasons in Johnstown. He appeared in 69 games and posted a record of 29-25-12, a GAA of 3.10 and a SV% of .895.
Currie is the sixth player to sign with the Bombers, joining the likes of Marco Caprara, Andy Cote, Preston Briggs, Paul Kelly and Dan Knapp.
