DENVER - By virtue of the Nashville Kats falling to the Grand Rapids Rampage 61-54 on Saturday night, the Colorado Crush clinch their second straight Central Division title.
As Central Division champions, the Crush (9-4) earn a bye in the Wild Card Round of the AFL playoffs and will host a Divisional Round contest at Pepsi Center on either Saturday, May 27th or Sunday May 28th at 11:30 p.m. MT.
With three games left in their regular season, Colorado will look to move one step closer to securing home-field advantage throughout the playoffs starting with their game this afternoon against the Orlando Predators at 3:45 p.m. MT in Pepsi Center. The Crush can claim home-field advantage throughout the playoffs by: (1) winning two of their final three regular season games or (2) by winning one more game combined with a San Jose SaberCats loss.
The Crush are 2-0 all-time in playoff games at Pepsi Center with victories over San Jose and Chicago last year en route to the team's first championship in ArenaBowl XX.
