Craner named North Division player of the week

The NAHL announced today that Alpena IceDiggers (7-3-0) captain Nolan Craner has been named North Division player of the week for the week ending October 9, 2006.

Craner racked up two goals and five assists in two games as the IceDiggers skated to a pair of wins over the NTDP Under-17 Team. The 20-year-old from Plainwell, MI., scored two goals, including the game-winner, and two assists in Alpena's 4-2 triumph on Friday and added three assists in a 6-1 win the next night.

"Nolan has played great for us in the first ten games, and he was a big reason we were able to get two very important wins this past weekend." Stated GM/Head Coach Kenny Miller

The 6'2" 185 lbs right winger leads the NAHL in scoring with nine goals for 22 points after 10 games for the 1st place Alpena IceDiggers.
