
Coyotes Assign Gormley to Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Brandon Gormley to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
The 23-year-old Gormley has registered 2-2-4 and 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 27 games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound native of Murray River, Prince Edward Island has also recorded 3-4-7 and 14 PIM in 16 games with the Pirates.
Gormley was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (13th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
