Courtemanche suspended for 2 games

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday January 10th, 2012 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Raymond Bolduc, today suspended Gatineau Olympiques left-winger Samuel Courtemanche for two games for inappropriate comments which were directed towards Ludovic Kabambi during the game played on January 8th.

Moreover, the organization has been fined $500. Finally, a formal apology will be extended to Ludovic Kabambi from Samuel Courtemanche.

"The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League created an antidiscrimination policy in December of 2006 in order to ban all forms of discrimination," said League Commissioner Gilles Courteau. "Our policy is based on the principle of zero tolerance and it applies to all comments which are deemed inappropriate. All of our participants must be treated with respect and dignity."
