Cougars Re-Sign Santana, Scheer, Robledo and Molina

Stockton, California - The California Cougars have reached contract agreements with key returnees midfielder Nelson Santana, midfielder/defender Craig Scheer, midfielder Uriel Robledo and Goalie Jesus Molina it was announced today. Per club policy, terms of the deals will not be disclosed.
Santana, 33, has been a Cougars stalwart since the 2006-07 season. Serving as the Captain of this year's Cougars squad, Santana finished in the PASL's top 10 for both goals and total points with 18 goals and 13 assists in 15 games.
Scheer, 34, is in the midst of his second tour with the Cougars. A 10 year veteran of indoor soccer, Scheer appeared in 10 games during the 2009-10 season scoring 8 goals and adding in 3 assists.
Stockton resident Uriel Robledo is entering his 3rd year with the Cougars. A graduate of West High School in Tracy, Robledo scored 6 goals and added in 2 assists in 8 games for the Cougars. Prior to joining the Cougars Robledo played two seasons at Modesto Junior College and spent the 2006 season with the California Gold of the USL's Premier Development League.
Anchoring the defense, Goalie Jesus Molina is also entering his 3rd year with the Cougars. A former member of the U.S National Arena Soccer Team, where he served as starting goalie during the 2008 Circuito Mundial tournament, Molina has also played professionally in Mexico, where he was a member of Club Deportivo Toluca, Athletico Celaya, and Acambaro. Molina finished in the PASL's top 5 for wins last year having a 10-3 record as the Cougars main starting goalie.
The California Cougars are entering their 6th year as Stockton and the San Joaquin Valley's Professional Indoor Soccer Team. A member of the PASL (Professional Arena Soccer League the Cougars were PASL Champions in 2008-09 and Semi-Finalists in last year's PASL play-offs. The 2010-11 PASL season kicks off on Sunday November 14th at the Stockton Arena versus the defending PASL Champion San Diego Sockers.
