Sioux Falls Canaries News Release
Geneva, IL - The Sioux Falls Canaries were dealt a 4-3 loss at Kane County on Sunday in the finale of a six-game roadtrip.
The Cougars scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning but Sioux Falls knotted things up with three runs in the top of the fifth. Grady Mee and Michael Curialle both delivered RBI singles before Mee scored on a groundball double play to tie the game.
The tie held until the seventh inning when a leadoff walk followed by two wild pitches allowed Kane County to score the go-ahead run. The Canaries were held without a baserunner the rest of the way.
Christian Edwards allowed three runs on seven hits and struckout four over six innings while Joe Vos paced the offense with three hits. The Canaries (36-32) open a six-game homestand Tuesday night vs Fargo-Moorhead.
