NEW YORK (Feb. 28, 2014) - The New York Cosmos announced today that midfielder Peri Marosevic and forward Stefan Dimitrov have signed contract extensions with the team. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Peri and Stef were important players for us last year," head coach Giovanni Savarese said. "They both filled important roles and contributed every time they stepped on the field. We're happy to bring them back this season."

Marosevic, 24, made eight appearances (six starts) for the Cosmos during their fall season championship campaign. An attacking midfielder, Marosevic scored two goals for New York, including one that will forever live in Cosmos history; Marosevic scored the first goal in last year's season opener, the Cosmos' first competitive professional match in nearly 30 years.

Dimitrov, 29, appeared in 12 matches (nine starts) for the Cosmos during their fall season championship campaign. The Bulgarian native scored the game-winning goal against San Antonio that clinched the fall championship for the Cosmos and sent the club to NASL Soccer Bowl 2013.
