
Cosmos Beat Indy Eleven in Penalty Kicks to Win NASL Title

A penalty-kick shootout might be a terrible way to determine a winner, but for the Cosmos it was a dramatic way to crown a league champion.
After playing to a scoreless draw through regulation and two overtime periods, the Cosmos won the tiebreaker, 4-2, against the Indy Eleven on Sunday night at Belson Stadium at St. John's University to earn their third North American Soccer League championship in four years and second in a row.
