Columbus Riverdragons News Release
COLUMBUS, Ga., January 25 â Columbus hometown favorites, Cornbread, and Washington Wizards mascots G-Wiz and G-Man will make special performances on NBA Night, this Friday, January 28, at the Columbus Civic Center as the Columbus Riverdragons host the Huntsville Flight at 7 p.m..
Cornbread and lead singer Keni Thomas will make a live, post-game performance as part of the Budweiser True Music Concert Series, presented by Budweiser, The Loft, and Flipside Records, which features the best in local and regional music artists. Playing favorites from their three album releases "Following Ceres", "Headspace and Timing", and "No Place Like Home", Cornbread has entertained music fans in the Chattahoochee Valley and across America with its energetic, country-rock sound. The performance will also showcase songs from Thomas's new solo album "Flags of Our Fathers: A Soldier's Story", which debuts in stores today. The album features the single, "Not Me", which climbed to No. 47 on this past week's Radio & Records country airplay chart.
NBA Night will be highlighted by Washington Wizards mascots, G-Wiz and G-Man, who will entertain the crowd with their signature, aerial acrobatic dunking show throughout the Riverdragons-Flight game. G-Wiz, the funny, fuzz-ball mascot from Washington, D.C. has entertained thousands of NBA fans over the years with his crowd-pleasing comedy act, while his alter ego, G-Man, has accomplished some of the most spectacular dunks ever performed by an NBA mascot. G-Man's rim rattling repertoire includes the in-between the legs dunk, the reverse, the 360 and the flip dunk.
