
Copper Kings Sign Trujillo as Pitching Coach

Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings News Release
The Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings of the Arizona-Mexico Baseball League announced today that they have signed Fred Trujillo of Benson, Arizona as their Pitching Coach for the inaugural 2003 baseball season.
Trujillo has been a scout for the Seattle Mariners along with working as an assistant coach for Pima Community College in Tucson.
The former All-State baseball player for Benson Union High School pitched for Scottsdale Community College and Eastern Oregon State College before returning to his hometown and serving as a Pitching Coach for Benson Union High School for twelve seasons.
"Fred is the guy we wanted," General Manager John Guy said. "He comes highly recommended and our manager was especially impressed not only with his credentials but with the way he handles young pitchers."
The Copper Kings will begin their 2003 Spring Training on May 20th.
