Contract Offered to Terrell Owens to Play for Central Illinois Drive

Central Illinois Drive News Release
Bloomington, Illinois - Today Jim Bob Morris owner of the Central Illinois Drive a "premier" member of the "Premier Basketball League" (PBL), recently announced a "premier" contract offer has been extended to Terrell Owens, known simply as T.O. to play the 2012 upcoming season. The Central Illinois Drive is a Bloomington, Illinois minor league basketball team and is coached by former "premier" Indiana University All-American A.J. Guyton.
The Drive as known in the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal Illinois is a first year team that has every intention of winning the PBL Championship and Morris commented that he believes T.O. could be instrumental in helping The DRIVE win the Championship in 2012.
Morris said "T.O. has been a six-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the dominant receivers of the modern football era. I think Terrell is one of the greatest receivers ever and it's a darn shame that he is not helping out the Oakland Raiders right now. T.O. holds or shares several NFL records, and features in the all-time top-5 in several receiving categories, including yards and touchdowns. I also happen to know that he can play some hoops and we are giving the man a chance. Where the NFL is failing him....we are here to help the man out!
Morris further commented that as productive as T.O. has been, he has been equally controversial, creating firestorms with almost every team he has played for as a professional. "I love that' said Morris, "he is our kind of player and I'll even make him a part owner." "I want firestorms around here and in the stands!" "I want people coming out to watch T.O. as the athlete excel in another sport that he is exceptional!"
Morris went on then again...further commenting that he was going to work with T.O. to trademark simply T.O. and that he would work to create litigation against Dick Vitale for every uses the of the term "Better give me a T.O. baby. Better give me a T.O." Morris said that any phrase with T.O. in it will be owned by him in the future, thus creating all kinds of havoc in the world regarding the word, (to) or also TOO.
Owens played college football and basketball at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and was selected in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Owens was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 after a spat with 49ers front office members. Two years later, he was released and signed to another large contract by the Dallas Cowboys, only to be given his unconditional release on March 4, 2009. Owens has also played for the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
Popularly known by his initials, T.O., Owens is as renowned for his flamboyant touchdown celebrations and public persona as he is for his prodigious talent on the field. His actions on and off the field have led to many league fines, as well as frequent penalties for his team.
Morris said that he would provide him a chance to play for his Arena Football team in 2012 as well as be a player coach. Morris also said he would let T.O. drive his R-8 Audi to and from practice and pay for the gas. Morris also said he would make T.O. an owner of both teams if he plays in just one game for The DRIVE.
