Drive Face-Off with Razorsharks in Game 2 Saturday Night

Bloomington, IL, 4/13/12 - The Central Division Champion Central Illinois Drive, presented by Sonic, will face the Eastern Division Champion Rochester RazorSharks Saturday night in Bloomington for Game 2 of the PBL Championship Series. The Drive won Game 1 on Thursday night at Rochester by a score of 98-91. With a win Saturday the Drive can become the Champions of the PBL. The defending Champion RazorSharks can force a deciding Game 3 with a win. Game 3 would be Sunday in Bloomington at 4:05 pm.

While the Drive were able to run away with many of their games this season, that was not the case in game 1 at Rochester Thursday night. The RazorSharks gave the Drive a good fight even though the Drive were able to win. Early on both teams seemed to feel each other out and were a little too cautious. Things picked up in the 2nd quarter and then the Drive offense really got going after halftime. But no matter how well the Drive were playing, Rochester would not let the game get away. Every time Central Illinois would open up a lead, the RazorSharks would come back with a run of their own. It seemed like it would be close to the end. As the game came to a close, the Drive were able to finish the job and win. With a win tonight the Drive would be PBL Champions.
