
Congratulations Orlando Seals

With their 2-0 victory over Winston-Salem on Sunday (2/23), the Orlando Seals clinched a tie for the ACHL regular season championship. The Seals, coached by Stan Drulia, can win the ACHL's "Commissioner's Cup" outright this coming week.
ACHL Player of the Week:
Forward Kevin Swider of the Knoxville Ice Bears is the Atlantic Coast Hockey League Player of the Week. Swider, from Livonia, Michigan. scored five goals and added two assists for seven points as the Ice Bears were a perfect 3-0 on the week. Included in his goal total was a three-goal hat trick on 2/21 against the Jacksonville Barracudas. On the year, Kevin Swider leads the ACHL in goals scored with 35. Overall, he has 35 goals and 33 assists for 68 points.
ACHL Goaltender of the Week:
David Goverde of the Orlando Seals is the Atlantic Coast Hockey League Goaltender of the Week. Goverde went 3-0 on the week, including a shutout on 2/23 against the Winston-Salem Parrots. On the week, the native of Toronto, Ontario stopped 78 of 84 shots on goal. Goverde is the league's top goaltender with four shutouts, a 2.68 goals against average, and a 90.7% save percentage.
