
Conference Leaders Held to Draws in Week 14 of the USSF D-2 Pro League

This week's USSF D-2 Pro League saw two of the three weekday matches end in draws during Week 14 of the 2010 season. The two conference leaders drew their midweek matches as Vancouver Whitecaps FC was held to a 1-1 draw against visiting AC St. Louis and the Austin Aztex got a point on the road to the Rochester Rhinos in a 0-0 draw to maintain their sizable lead atop the USL conference. The final weekday match saw the Puerto Rico Islanders handle visiting Crystal Palace Baltimore with a 2-0 victory. The NSC Minnesota Stars played host to the Tampa Bay Rowdies where the home Stars took a 1-0 victory on an own goal. The Portland Timbers continued its unbeaten streak with their 2-0 victory against visiting Miami FC on Saturday July 10. The last match on July 10 proved to be a convincing 3-0 victory for St. Louis against the Montreal Impact in St. Louis. Puerto Rico played their second home match of the week when they played host to the Carolina Railhawks. The Railhawks proved to be too strong for Puerto Rico with a 2-0 victory and kept their unbeaten road streak alive.

Week 14 Quick Hits
Carolina is still undefeated on the road in eight matches. They are currently two games into a four game road trip and visit Montreal next week in a big NASL Conference matchup.
The 0-0 draw with Rochester marks only the second time Austin has been held scoreless all year - the first was also a 0-0 draw with Portland on June 9.
Rochester now holds a 2-1-1 record against the conference leaders including a win and a draw against USL Conference leader and rival Austin.
Week 15 Preview
Week 15 will kick off with a busy Wednesday this week hosting 4 matches. Crystal Palace will host Rochester at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Maryland SoccerPlex. St. Louis will be traveling to Minnesota for a 7:00 p.m. ET kick off slated at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. The Montreal Impact will play host to Carolina when the match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Montreal, Quebec. The final Wednesday match will feature Vancouver and Miami at 7:30 p.m. ET in Burnaby, British Columbia. The lone Thursday match will feature Tampa Bay playing host to Puerto Rico. That match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Tampa, Florida. The three matches set for Saturday will start off with league leaders Austin playing host to St. Louis. This match is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET in Austin, Texas. Miami will then be hosting the Puerto Rico Islanders at 7:30 p.m. ET in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Carolina will be traveling to Rochester to play the Rhinos at 7:00 p.m. ET in Rochester, NY. The Final match slated for Week 15 will feature the Montreal Impact hosting Baltimore. This match is set to kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET in Montreal, Quebec. .

Week 15 Notes
Carolina faces two stern road tests as they face NASL Conference rivals Montreal on Wednesday before taking on second place USL Conference contenders Rochester on Saturday.
Every team is in action in Week 14 aside from Portland and seven teams play twice in one of the busiest weeks of the season.
Miami and Puerto Rico will play the return leg of their first matchup when Puerto Rico ran out 4-2 winners at home on June 2.
