CINCINNATI, OH - Another part of the back-to-back championship run have returned to the fray.

The Cincinnati Commandos professional indoor football team has re-signed defensive tackle Terrill Byrd for his third season. The two-time first team all-league selection will anchor a Commandos defense that led the league in defense for two years running.

"Terrill has been overlooked for his size since high school, but short or tall, not everyone is named an All American and Big East Defensive Player of the year in college," head coach Billy Back said of Byrd. "All that's not to mention he's dominated the CIFL for the past two seasons. He's a big reason we've had the #1 defense. He's a great locker room guy and anytime you can re-sign a Terrill Byrd and team him back up with the guys we already have signed in my eyes I'd hate to be an opposing quarterback or an offensive lineman."

Byrd was third in the league last year with 14.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks, both were second on the team behind Pernell Phillips.

The Cincinnati Commandos are the longest-tenured professional indoor football team ever in the city of Cincinnati. Winners of back-to-back league championships, the Commandos will be playing their first season in the Ultimate Indoor Football League. Season tickets are currently on sale via the Cincinnati Gardens box office or thru Ticketmaster.
