KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 15, 2011) --Kansas City's Arena Football Team, the Kansas City COMMAND returns to action for the 2011 season with a renewed interest, energy and new name. Formerly known as the Brigade, the team kicked off the 2011 season on Saturday, March 12 with a hotly contested and close game against the Dallas Vigilantes at American Airlines Center. The team returns home to Kansas City to welcome football fans and COMMAND season ticket holders to Sprint Center for an Open House on Wednesday, March 16 at 6 p.m. The public is invited to meet the 2011 Kansas City COMMAND as well as the 2011 Kansas City COMMANDancers.

"The 2011 season has arrived and we look forward to bringing Arena Football back to Kansas City," said Danton Barto, Kansas City COMMAND Head Coach. "This squad is focused, hungry and committed to playing quality football in all facets of the game. We look forward to meeting our fans on Wednesday."

Fans attending the Kansas City COMMAND Open House will have an opportunity to get a sneak peak at the 2011 team. Season ticket holders will have an opportunity to confirm their season ticket location and pick up their tickets. The 2011 Kansas City COMMANDancers will be introduced for the first time as well as entertain the crowd with a performance. COMMAND season ticket holders will receive priority access to the Open House beginning at 5:30 p.m. Grand Lobby Doors are scheduled to open at 6 p.m. All attendees must visit Sprint Center Box Office for a complimentary ticket for admission. (Press will be allowed in at 5 PM via the press entrance.)

Tickets for the 2011 Kansas City COMMAND start at only $12 and are on sale now at sprintcenter.com, Ticketmaster Outlets and Sprint Center Box Office. Discounts are available for groups and season ticket purchases. The Kansas City COMMAND opens the 2011 season on Saturday, April 9 with OPERATION BLACKOUT against the Iowa Barnstormers. The first 2,500 fans will receive an OPERATION BLACKOUT t-shirt.
