Come support Thunder at Chili Cook Off Tomorrrow

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Thunder will compete in a chili cook off at the Monroe Center Fire Department on Saturday, January 24 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. the team announced today.

The Thunder's entry will feature a vegetarian chili and infielder Jamie Davison will lead the cooking. General Manager Aaron M. Moore will also be on hand for the cook off.

The proceeds from the event will benefit the Monroe Center Youth Baseball Association.

The team will have some merchandise available for purchase at the event, including $5 hats and $10 t-shirts. The Thunder will donate 15% of all sales back to the Monroe Center Baseball Association. In addition to the merchandise, the Thunder will offer three silent auction opportunities as well. The silent auction items will include the following: two season tickets for the 2009 season, Opening Day Experience (first pitch, bat girl, on-field for pre-game) and a pizza party for 10 with Jamie Davison.
