Comcast Hometown Network to Air 25 San Jose Giants Games in 2015

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again partnered to bring fans LIVE television broadcasts during the 2015 season. This year the organization is increasing their schedule to 25 games. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network (Digital Channel 104) throughout most Northern California regions. The broadcast schedule begins with the home opener, Thursday, April 16, against the Bakersfield Blaze at 7:00 PM.
"The San Jose Giants are thrilled to continue our partnership with Comcast Hometown Network for our seventh consecutive season," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer. "We are excited to be expanding our televised games from 20 to 25 home games and that each broadcast will reach over two million homes across Northern California."
After the live broadcast of each contest, all 25 games will be available for cable customers to view through Comcast On Demand Channel 1. All San Jose Giants television broadcasts will feature the play-by-play "Voice of the San Jose Giants," Joe Ritzo and the color commentary of Joe Castellano. Ritzo has been calling San Jose Giants games since 2003 while Castellano, who with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, has broadcasted a variety of sports for networks such as NBC, MLB Network and Comcast.
"The partnership between Comcast Hometown Network and the San Jose Giants continues to allow our viewers the chance to see some of the future homegrown champions in the San Francisco Giants organization," said Jeff Giles, Director of Comcast Hometown Network. "We are looking forward to televising more action from Municipal Stadium this season and capturing moments from what we anticipate to be another memorable year of San Jose Giants baseball."
Highlights of the schedule include San Jose's home opener, a matchup against the 2014 California League Champion Lancaster JetHawks as well as special Independence Day weekend telecasts on July 4 and July 5 against the Visalia Rawhide. In total, fans will have the opportunity to watch 24 matchups this season against San Jose Giants' North Division opponents. In addition to the game broadcast, Comcast Hometown Network will provide pregame and postgame coverage of all games.

The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104). To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Comcast Hometown Network."
First pitch for the San Jose Giants home opener will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 16 against the Bakersfield Blaze. San Jose's 2015 season begins on Thursday, April 9.
