
Columbus' Bryce Williamson Named Easton Rookie of the Year

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League on Monday announced that Bryce Williamson of the Columbus Cottonmouths has been selected as the Easton Rookie of the Year in a vote of league coaches, general managers and media representatives.
Fayetteville's Kevin Murdock and Trevor Hertz finished tied for second in the balloting.
Williamson finished third in goals (26) and sixth in points (53) among all SPHL players, in addition to leading all rookies with 27 assists and 11 power-play assists. Williamson also finished second among first-year players with six power-play and three game-winning goals. Williamson (Seba Beach, AB) played four seasons at Bowling Green State University, where he was the team's second-leading scorer his senior season and a 2013-14 WCHA Scholar-Athlete recipient.
