Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Forward Alexandre Picard To Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 12, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned left wing Alexandre Picard to the Syracuse Crunch.

Picard, 21, has appeared in 23 games with the Blue Jackets this season and collected his first career NHL point with an assist March 20 vs. Chicago. He has collected 20 penalty minutes in 40 career NHL games with the club. In 47 games with Syracuse, he has 11 goals, 17 assists and 73 penalty minutes. He ranks third on the club with eight power play goals. Columbus' top pick in the 2004 Entry Draft, he has registered 26 goals, 32 assists and 125 penalty minutes in 92 career AHL games.

The Crunch travel to Rochester on Friday, April 13 for a 7:30 p.m. game.
