
Columbus and San Jose advance to ArenaBowl XXI

NEW YORK - The Columbus Destroyers (7-9, 3-0) and San Jose SaberCats (13-3, 2-0) will meet in ArenaBowl XXI in New Orleans for the Arena Football League championship on Sunday, July 29. The game will be televised live on ESPN on ABC (HD) at 3 pm ET.
Columbus will make its first-ever appearance in an ArenaBowl after defeating the Georgia Force, 66-56, in the National Conference Championship Game. The Destroyers are the first No. 6 seed since the new playoff format was established in 2005 to advance to the ArenaBowl.
San Jose, the Mitsubishi Motors Western Division Champion, is on a 12-game winning streak and are making their third ArenaBowl appearance in six years after defeating the defending ArenaBowl Champion Chicago Rush, 61-49, in the American Conference Championship Game.
